Expect classes to start and end on time!
Expect a clean and well maintained facility as we begin to replace older equipment with newer equipment.

Head Coach
Zach Gibbon
Zach's fitness roots stem from his high school and collegiate athletic background. He played four years of college soccer with appearances in two NCAA tournaments while studying Health & Phys Ed & Sports Management.
2023 marks his 16th year in the fitness industry. He has accumulated more than 10,000 coaching hours since becoming an affiliate gym owner. Zach also has 10 years of competing experience in the CrossFit Games Open with numerous advances to Quarterfinal & Semi Final levels. He's made multiple appearances at WZA Miami & Minnesota’s Granite Games. Locally, he is South Carolina’s Fittest of the Coast 2020 Champion and continues to compete in local, regional, and national competitions.
His passion for coaching stems from helping others gain the knowledge and experience necessary to achieve their goals. Helping others conquer health and wellness is a gift that he willingly passes on in the hopes to have a hand in changing lives for the better one day at a time.
His favorite barbell movement is the squat snatch and his favorite workout is Kong.

Sarah Knight
Sarah found CrossFit in 2015 and immediately connected with the methodology, the community and the competitive aspect of the sport. CrossFit soon became the anchor of her life giving her awareness in every aspect of her health; nutrition, sleep, stress, cardio respiratory and strength endurance and conditioning, which all play a pivotal role not only in her fitness but in her ability to live a productive, healthy and active life.
Her passion for coaching stems from her love of fitness, health and being of service to others. Her Certification as a Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor adds value to her CrossFit coaching as she aims to inspire mindful and proper technique and mechanics. She believes there is no finish line but an endless list of things to achieve and celebrate in CrossFit!
Her favorite barbell movement is the Snatch and favorite workout is Annie.

Joe DeTullio
While physically active throughout his life, Joe developed a love for fitness in his late 30's with Olympic & Power lifting and high intensity workouts. This made his shift into CrossFit in 2016 easy!
Joe's passionate about helping clients learn new skills and challenging their physical capabilities safely. CrossFit's focus on functional fitness and wellness provides Joe with the tools to address individual goals and needs. CrossFit's group training structure adds the dynamics of friendly competition and community which further fuels Joe's passion for coaching.
Joe lives in the Carolina Park community with his wife, Beth, and their dog, Murph. Outside of the gym, he works as a technology consultant. He has multiple college and post-graduate degrees as well of over 40 undergraduate credits in Exercise Science.
Joe's favorite barbell lifts are old school Dead Lifts and Back Squats!

John Thoren
John found CrossFit on deployment in 2008 and its methodology - constant variance and challenging movements - had him hooked. He has now been a CrossFit coach for over 8 years and holds a CrossFit Level 1 credential, ActiveLife RX Certification and has attended Cara Heads Slaughter Olympic Lifting seminars.
He has been an athlete his whole life and still loves to play and coach lacrosse and get out on the golf course when able. He believes that every fitness journey is unique to the athlete and strives to focus on safe lifting practices - a hard workout done correctly today allows you to come back and improve tomorrow.
Should you program the workout "The Chief" he will be there!

Amanda Eckenrode
Amanda went to school at the University of Pittsburgh and started doing CrossFit in 2013. She's passionate about helping others meet and exceed their health and fitness goals. The support and energy the community brings is what keeps her motivated and coming back for more.
Her favorite workout is Fran, but she also loves anything with running or gymnastics.
